From simple to lavish, at Toulouse Gourmet Catering we work with each couple to review our menus and customize details. Each wedding reception that Toulouse Gourmet caters is unique, and we strive to make each couple’s vision come to life. Our event planners are happy to help with all the details you may need.

Our Wedding FAQs
Do you offer wedding services aside from food?
We offer assistance in planning, design and setup of our food. At The Cannery we offer more in-depth services because we are on-site.
Do you have your own trained staff or do you use a staffing service? What will the wait-staff wear?
We use both an in-house staff of servers and a staffing service. If the event is larger than our in-house staff, we call in the staffing agency. The wait staff wear all black.
Do you travel outside of the NOLA metro area?
We travel inside the Greater New Orleans Area (about a 45 minute radius), but there are occasions when we work with a couple to go further.
What sets you apart from competitors?
Attention to detail, quality, presentation and style.
Do you include beer, wine, and/or liquor?
We can.
Do you specialize in certain types of food or service?
We like to customize our menu based on discussions with the client, but we do specialize in local, fresh, Louisiana seafood.
Can you arrange a tasting?
Yes, we do a tasting with all of our couples.
What is the average price?
Since each menu is completely customized, our prices vary based on selections.
Are costs itemized depending on the foods you choose, or is there an all-inclusive flat rate? What would that include (linens, tax, and gratuity)?
The costs are itemized.
Does the caterer have printed price sheets for food selections?
Yes
Will the caterer work any other weddings on the same weekend, the same day, or at the same time as yours?
We may, depending on the size and scope of each event.
Will the caterer be willing to include a recipe you provide, like a special family dish, or an appetizer with some sort of sentimental significance?
Yes we work with you to ensure all the familiar tastes you know and love are covered.
Can they prepare vegetarian, kosher, kids, or halal meals for just a few of your guests?
Yes we can.
Where will the food be prepared?
On-site at our kitchen at 3811 Toulouse Street.
Are there on-site facilities, or do you, the caterer, and the site manager need to make additional arrangements? If the caterer must bring in his own equipment, is there an additional fee?
It depends on the location. Sometimes the venue will meet all the requirements, but if not, there are additional fees for extra equipment.
Does the caterer work with fresh (not frozen) food?
Yes
Does the caterer have a license?
Yes
Can the caterer provide alcohol? Or can you handle the bar separately? If you can provide it, is there a corkage fee? How and when will you get the alcohol to the caterer? If the caterer will provide it, do they have a flexible wine list, and can you make special requests? How is this list priced?
We can provide alcohol if requested. This must be with catering, not separately. There is a corkage fee and the wine list is flexible to accommodate special requests. Additional fees are discussed up front and not on a huge surprise bill to the client.
Does the caterer also do wedding cakes? Can you use an outside baker if you desire? Is there a cake-cutting fee?
We do not make wedding cakes. We have some excellent suggestions for bakers. On-site events at The Cannery do not require a cake cutting fee, but off-site events do.
